for Linux u can setup a samba share with your windows machines. If u r using opensuse, then go to yast choose network services, and then choose samba server to configure that, suse will do most of the work for u, and u can also click on windows domain membership and configure that as well. If u r using other linux systems like ubuntu then I am not sure, u will have to manually edit some samba configuration file.

In any case in order to setup a network between a windows and linux system u will have to learn to configure a samba server, opensuse just makes it easier for u to do so
